Getting good quality sleep is important for keeping your energy up throughout the day, reducing stress, and fighting off burnout. But when I started working 40+ hours a week at my corporate job, a “good night’s sleep” just didn’t seem to fit into my busy schedule. If you are anything like I was, sleep was the first thing I neglected to try and gain more hours in my day.
After a full day of client calls, meetings, and spreadsheets — often working late — it seemed impossible to calm my racing mind as I lay in bed, running through to-do lists in my head, before getting up to do it all again.
Through trial & error and lots of research, I have learned not only to help my body and mind but my client’s as well, relax in the evening. Even with my corporate schedule and running my own business, I am able to ease into a restful state at bedtime, and wake up feeling refreshed and ready to greet the next day.
